Matrix in UC.Technology >Getting started
If you are visiting UCMeetChat resources for the first time and are not yet a user, you need to register: .

Click “Create an account” and enter your details.

If you have filled everything in correctly, log in to the server with your account, and this initial setup panel will open for you. Details are available in the web client section.

If you log in through your corporate server, enter your details.
Username: corporate login (login only, without the email address!)
Password: corporate password
After that, you will receive your Matrix address with the following structure:
@you-login:matrix.ucmeet.org
But first, this panel will open:

Matrix not only encrypts traffic to and from the home server (in the UC.Technology data center), but also allows you to use end-to-end encryption (E2EE). To do this, cryptographic keys must be exchanged between all devices that want to send end-to-end encrypted messages. This technical requirement sounds complex and is complex, but it has become very convenient for users. Many cryptographic keys created by the client are stored on the corresponding device. If, for example, this is a browser tab, there is a risk that the tab may be closed unintentionally: all encrypted content will no longer be readable. To prevent this from happening, key protection is offered on UC.Technology home servers. All cryptographic keys protected by a security phrase (or by a security key calculated from it) are stored on the servers in encrypted form.
It is strongly recommended that you use this key backup (with a secure security phrase (mnemonic phrase) that is NOT your corporate password) and read the section "Other important settings!"
Close this panel (by clicking the X), as you do not yet have cryptographic keys, and click the "I'll verify later" button:

After opening the main panel, click the "User" icon and activate the "Security" tab:

Key protection is strongly recommended for trouble-free end-to-end encryption. Therefore, select “Settings/Security and Privacy”. Find “Encryption” and click the "Reset" button, as we have already reserved the keys for you at the start of the initial session:

After the reset, this panel will open:

Click "Continue" and generate a security key, making sure to copy it for safe storage and to restore access to encrypted data:

Select “Generate a security key” and “Continue” so that the security key appears in the next window. It should be saved and exported as a recovery key.

Every time you log out of UCMeetChat and log back in, or log in to UCMeetChat on a new device, the security key is requested. Without this key, there is no access to old encrypted chats.
Alternatively Choose a strong security phrase (but not your account password). It is better to enter the mnemonic phrase in Latin letters, for example, "Belka pliashet na zabore" (or something like that; the main thing is not to forget it). In addition, a security key is generated together with the security phrase and must also be stored safely and be available for recovery as an emergency key. This security phrase will always need to be entered if the keys need to be synchronized with the key backup.

Confirm the passphrase for the security key:

After logging out of UCMeetChat and logging back in, or logging in to UCMeetChat from another device, you need to enter the security key or passphrase, or verify the session from another of your devices where a verified UCMeetChat session is already open:

When entering the passphrase, the prompt looks as follows:

When entering the generated security key, the prompt looks as follows:

If entered correctly, the recovery session is verified successfully:

The UCMeetChat chat client now uses encryption.
